Sherrie Meets the Avalicians

An RP written by Jacob Coad and Scott Tatt

(The Coad brothers bring the Avalicians to the boys' grandparents' house to introduce them to their grandmother, Sherrie. They find themselves in front of a house made from grey colored bricks)

Jackson: You see, Nat, Mr. and Mrs. Basset, this is where our grandparents live. She's a beauty, isn't she?

Natalya: "It looks very cosy. Just for place for anyone elderly to retire to." ^^

(Jim opens the door to see the Avalicians with his grandchildren)

Jim: I know that staff anywhere.

Miguel/Lela: "Greetings."

Jim: What brings you all to my house?

Jacob: Is Gigi home? Jackson and I were about introduce the new faces to her.

Jim: Oh, she is. Why don't you all come in?

Jacob: After you, Lilac.

Lilac: "Oh you."

(She walks inside with her friends behind her.)

Jim: Hey, Sherrie, look who came to town.

Sherrie: Hey girls! Missed you since you left Earth. (She walks up to Milla and hugs her)

Sherrie: I especially missed you, sweetheart.

Milla: "Aww, I missed you too Sherrie! It's great to see you!" (she wags her tail)

Jacob: Gigi, you know those knew faces Jackson and I've been talkin' about?

(The Avalicians step forward)

Jackson: We brought 'em over to introduce you to them!

Jacob: First, these two are Milla's parents, Miguel and Lela Basset.

Sherrie: Well, it's good to see that Milla has found her parents.

Lela: "Thank you very much."

Miguel: "We were overjoyed when we found our little Milla again."

Jackson: Now this guy is Carol's grandfather, Clifford Tea, the Old Sage.

Sherrie: So you're Clifford. My husband's been telling me about you. No doubt Jackson would take a liking to his girlfriend's grandfather.

Clifford: "Greetings and salutations to you Sherrie. I've quite enjoyed meeting your grandchildren and I'm very happy that my granddaughter found love in one of them." ^^

Carol: "That's us Jackson. Couldn't be closer eh?"

Jackson: Couldn't have it any other way, baby. (He kisses Carol)

Jacob: Last, but certainly not least, this is-

Sherrie: Natalya. No doubt Jacob would take a liking to a dragon like you. He loves dragons, you know.

Natalya: "I've noticed." "It's a pleasure to meet you Sherrie. You must feel proud to have such wonderful grandchildren."

Sherrie: I'm very proud of them. I'm also happy that my oldest has found love in your adopted daughter. Reminds me of when Jon and Shannon when they were their age. ^^

Natalya: "I'm just glad Lilac succeeded where I failed and found a good man to love. It makes me so very proud of her."

Lilac: "Aww, thanks Natalya."

Sherrie: Speaking of Jacob, how's been treating you all?

Lilac: "He's such a gentlemen! I didn't know boys could be so nice."

Milla: "He's like a big brother to me!"

Carol: "He treats Lilac well. Who am I to complain?"

(Jacob blushes hard after hearing Lilac)

Sherrie: Hey, I actually need to know, on Avalice, did anyone consider the boys alien or anything like that?

Lilac: "Well, they did for a start but I pointed out to them that maybe we're alien to him so it wouldn't be fair to use that term."

Carol: "Not that Torque minded when we called him one."

Sherrie: Lemme guess; has Jacob been singing songs to you guys? Personally I think it's cute when he does it. Jim says his favorite song that he sings is "Suppertime" because he has so much fun singing that one.

Milla: "He's been doing lots of singing! And we love it! His singing is lovely!"

Sherrie: You know there is one song that Jacob sings that we thought was really beautiful if you all wanna hear. Maybe the people on Avalice would wanna hear too.

Clifford: "I've always wanted to get more of a taste of Earth music." ^^

Lela: "What is it?"

Miguel: "Can you sing it for us and the children?"

Jacob: It would be my honor and pleasure to sing it. ^^

(Jacob clears his throat)

Lilac: (wipes away a tear) "That was the most beautiful song I've ever heard."

Milla: "I loved it! Can you sing it again?"

Carol: "I'm not usually one to cry at beautiful things but that was really something."

Jacob: Okay, Milla, one more time, for you.

Milla: "Yay, that was wonderful!"

Sherrie: Hey, Carol, I need to know how's that "Jacky boy" as you call him sometimes been treating you? He hasn't been into any trouble has he?

Carol: "Oh if he was, it'd be nothing I can't handle. I eat trouble for breakfast!" "Jokes aside, he's pretty cool overall. He's funny, he's nice and he's quite good on a bike."

Sherrie: Miguel, Lela, I gotta say, I'm happy that Milla sees Jacob like a big brother. You see, I love her. I really do. She reminds me so much of my daughter Shannon when she was her age. Sometimes I even wish she would live with me.

Milla: "Really?"

Lela: "I'm glad you think that about my daughter."

Sherrie: (sighs) I just wish Shannon could've met you, Lela. You would've been great friends. Perhaps Jacob told you about her?

Lela: "I believe he did. Shannon was his mother wasn't she?"

Sherrie: Yes, she was. She was a fine woman and a great mother to the boys. In fact...

(She walks up to a picture on the wall, picks it up, then hands it to the Avalicians.)

Sherrie: This was her and Jacob when he was just a baby on his first Halloween.

(The picture had Shannon in a prisoner's outfit in classic black and white stripes with baby Jacob in a giraffe costume)

Lilac: "Aww...you all look so happy in this picture..."

Carol: "Nice costumes there." ^^

Milla: "Your mommy looks very nice Jacob."

Jacob: She was, and I miss her so much.

Sherrie: You know, sometimes, Jon and Shannon would let the boys stay with us and let us take care of them.

Jim: We've been doing that since Jacob was just a baby.

Lilac: "That's lovely."

Sherrie: Actually...(whispers into Jim's ear)

Jim: Hmm...Not a bad idea, honey. Sherrie and I just thought of something. How about if the boys stay with us and the girls happen to be on Earth, how about you let us look after the girls, too?

Jackson: Carol stay with me? Ohmygush, yes!

Jacob: Maybe having Lilac around wouldn't be so bad.

Sherrie: Course, Lela, Miguel, I'll take care of Milla the same way I did with Shannon.

Lilac: "That's a great idea!

Carol: "Boo-yah!"

(The two brothers run up to their girlfriends and hug them tightly)

Jacob: Why didn't we think of this before? Glad Pawpaw and Gigi came up with it!

Jackson: Me too!

(The two boys kiss their girlfriends)

(Lilac and Carol kiss them back.)

Natalya: "How very sweet."

Clifford: "Our girls really are growing up Natalya."

(Jim walks up to Clifford and Natalya and puts his hands on their shoulders)

Jim: Glad you like the idea.

(Sherrie walks up to Lela and hugs her)

Sherrie: Don't worry, Lela. Milla will be like my own, and I'll feel like a mother again.

Lela: "That's so wonderful of you Sherrie."

Miguel: "We have faith that you'll take care of our daughter."

(Sherrie kneels on one knee to Milla)

Sherrie: Don't worry, Milla. You'll do fine with me here. I've missed Shannon for so long after she passed away, but now with you here, it's like she's come back to me. I promise when your parents are away, I will be a good mother to you like I was to Shannon.

(Milla hugs Sherrie for her kind words.)

(Sherrie hugs back and smiles sweetly, still thinking of Shannon)
