I just got back from seeing Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. It was a really fun movie. I have some buddies of mine who haven't seen the first Jumanji,

and

For both of you, Scott and Vicious, you don't have to watch the first film to enjoy this. It's a standalone sequel made for not just returning fans, but newcomers.

For you, Scott, I know you like Karen Gillian, I'm happy to say, you may like her performance, as they found a way to make her badass and funny as well.

For you, Vicious, you'll like this because it is a movie about vifdeo games. There's a lot of video game references, including PS4 references and Street Fighter references and sometimes Dwayne Johnson explains what happens in a game.

And for everyone who has seen the first, this film pays homage to the first, even including an homage to the star of the first movie, Robin Williams.

I may do a review of the film, but here's the short version; see it.

I gotta tell you something that really gives me goosebumps. The game can draw in coming players by making this noise.

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan are all only video game characters so they act like the kids who chose them, that only is pretty funny. They also have their own strengths and weaknesses so each one doesn’t feel like they’re just there.
The actors who play NPCs will repeat lines they may have already said. It’s appropriate because it’s in their programming but sometimes you can’t help but laugh at it, especially when the avatars try and have a conversation with them.
There's a nerdy gamer who becomes Dwayne Johnson.
There's a football player who becomes a wealking Kevin Hart.
A wallflower girl becomes Karen Gillan.
This one cracked me up. There’s a pretty girl in this who becomes Jack Black.
And more bonus points for Kevin Hart being freaking hilarious, my favorite line being “I don’t have the top two feet of my body!”
